Hi! I’m Cecilia
I’m so happy you’ve found my blog. I hope that this will be a place where you can find encouragement and inspiration as you journey through Life. If you’re like me, then perhaps you’re not at the place you thought you’d be when you thought you’d be there. I’m learning that that’s ok.
Do you enjoy frugality or need to be frugal out of necessity then pull up a chair and enjoy a cup of tea and sit for a while.
I have been frugal by necessity for my entire adult life. I worked my way through college and have maintained at least 2 (sometimes more) jobs through most of my working years.Though I’m not financially “set” I choose to keep my focus on serving God and others.
Through several miscarriages and the loss of a preemie and depression I have learned to treasure the rich life God has given me.
My husband and I live just outside of San Diego, CA and have been married for over 13 years. Together we have 2 elementary aged children. Because I choose to homeschool, my priority, is to be mostly at home with my children. I am self-employed as a private music teacher and I occasionally play for several local churches. My husband is employed full time at our church. I have found it necessary to “stretch a dollar” six ways from Sunday, in order to extend our meager funds.
You can find me either reading or knitting. My grandmother taught me to knit when I was about 8 years old. I put it down for a while and have returned to it nearly 30 years later! It’s great for relaxing and lowering my blood pressure… which makes it nearly frugal right? Well, I’m still working on that last part.
I hope we can grow and learn from each other. To keep in touch and read about my goings-on then please subscribe. I’d love to send you a copy of my 7 Tips to Fall Asleep.
